Menu Technician, Dietary-Management

Job Summary:

• Responsible for assisting patients on the telephone and at the bedside with ordering meals,
• Enters menu selections into the Room Service computer and generates meal tickets,
• Ensures that the meal selections are in accordance with the physician's diet prescription,
• Maintains the Room Service Computers based on diet orders,
• Prints patient lists
• Reviews patient information such as diet orders and food drug interactions,
• Exhibits excellent telephone communication skills and responds appropriately to calls received,
• Exhibits positive customer behaviors, serves as a patient advocate, and responds to patient, family and visitor concerns,
• Participates in orienting new staff members and students,
• Orders and stores office supplies
• Maintains daily operations in the diet office

Schedule: Must be available to work variable shifts 7am-2pm and 11:30am-7pm. Every other Saturday and Sunday.
