The Mental Wellness Program Coordinator will develop cross-system initiatives, designed to reduce the stigma of healthcare workforce seeking mental health support, while promoting behaviors and resources conducive to creating a culture of wellness within LCMC Health. They will be responsible for assessing support needs specific to LCMC Health system and develop interventions, strategies, and metrics based on needs identified. This position is responsible for providing outstanding mental well-being programming and resources to employees and providers to amplify participation, while facilitating behavior change, maximizing engagement, and improving outcomes. This position is responsible for management, delivery, and assessment of mental well-being initiatives across facilities in alignment with LCMC Health’s vision of creating a culture of wellness.

Your every day

  • Coordinate, plan, facilitate, and manage wellness and behavioral health activities and programs for all LCMC Health employees.
  • Proactive wellness and real-time clinical crisis support for employees; assist in the development of facility-based crisis plan for employees.
  • Plans and implements classes, speakers, seminars, and custom training that promote mental well-being of employees.
  • Motivate and engage employees in their journey toward improved mental health through connecting employees to one another, advocating for mental health, and leading with care.
  • Compile and utilize data to develop targeted interventions for providers, clinical and non-clinical departments.
  • Assists the Chief Wellness Officer in the development of policies and procedures relevant to workforce well-being.
  • Align to system standards and spread best practices of mental well-being.
  • Demonstrating effectiveness in planning, organizing, and managing the ongoing operation of employee well-being in collaboration with Be Well Center team.

Program and People Management

  • Serves as a subject matter expert and resource/consultant regarding department-level and System workforce mental wellbeing needs; collaborates with stakeholders at all levels of the organization in the design, development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of solutions.
  • Provides consultative expertise to leaders and departments regarding programming development and design and best practices.
  • Partners with the leaders, vendors, and community resources to execute on a workplace mental well-being and social determinants of health strategy that will result in improving the emotional health, connectedness, and resiliency of the employee population.
  • Communicates effectively with and to key stakeholders.
  • Incorporates stakeholder feedback into workforce mental wellbeing solutions.
  • Raises awareness of the second victim phenomenon, secondary traumatic stress, and the availability of resources by creating and presenting education to front line leadership and staff.
  • Builds, leads, and develops peer network of employees to provide peer support, share feedback, provide ongoing mental health training and education, localize, and expand programming to other locations and departments.

Program Development and Advancement

  • Assesses population mental health needs using employee health and lifestyle data, feedback from employees, benefit offerings to develop and deploy appropriate mental well-being solutions and programming.
  • Designs and facilitates train-the-trainer sessions for local facility trainers, as required.

Collaboration

  • Serves as core member of the LCMC Health Be Well Center team.
  • Supports additional mental well-being programming throughout LCMC Health and additional programs of the LCMC Health Be Well Center.
  • Maintains contact and working relationship with administrators, physicians, nurses, residents, students, and ancillary staff throughout the institution.
  • Consults with partnering organizations who are establishing or revitalizing healthcare workforce mental well-being programs.

Communication

  • Serves as content expert, providing communication to leaders about appropriate and evidence-based responses to clinicians and employees with secondary trauma and regarding workplace trauma.
  • Develops and deploys communication plans and strategies for all workforce mental wellbeing programs.
  • Develops and maintains a digital presence and maintains mental well-being content on the Be Well Center website.

Your must haves

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required:

  • 3+ years healthcare experience
  • 1+ years clinical experience providing individual, family and group counseling.
  • Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare management.
  • Scales workforce wellbeing programs and services across all facilities for equity in access to mental well-being solutions.
  • Coordinates logistics for training and development programs (e.g., confirmation, scheduling, room confirmation, faculty, catering, etc.)
  • Leads strategic planning efforts for the program, working with organizational leaders to align resources, span organizational boundaries, and promote collaboration amongst key stakeholders.
