Position Summary
Lifeline Community Services is hiring a Youth DevelopmentMental Health Therapist to support our growing team. You will be responsible for providing individual, group and family counseling utilizing evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Functional Family Therapy and other relevant modalities. This is a Master's Level, BBS registered or BBS eligible role that will help our team provide trauma-informed and strength-based services to at risk youth and their families.
We're looking for a dynamic and passionate Therapist who is client centered, professional, clinically focused and who is able to work collaboratively since your day-to-day work will include communication with Case Managers, Supervisors, referring parties, parents and other treatment providers.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (Preferred)
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required.
- Masters-level training in child abuse and all other protective issues preferred.
- Must be registered with BBS, must possess license or be license-eligible
- Training in and mastery of family systems theory and application of diagnostic criteria from the DSM-5 and evidence-based practices
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing evidenced based practices to engage client in participation of services that are client-centered, culturally appropriate, and trauma-informed, in order to improve the short/long-term health, safety, and well-being of youth and their families.
- Provide internal and external educational workshops to clients and their families
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support to youth and their families.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings to develop appropriate interventions for youth and families, and serves as a consultant for the team in their various areas of expertise.
- Maintain client records and client progress notes updated weekly in accordance with program/contract requirements.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Schedule/Compensation
- [FT- nonexempt position].
- [Mon-Fri 8-5pm; However, a minimum of 2 evenings until 7:30pm and minimum 3 days in the office or as needed per program/contract requirements) (Nights and weekends as needed)]
- [$30.00 - $33.00 ] Salary will commensurate with experience and education. Differential pay offered for bilingual skills. EEO.
Additional Requirement
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with a good driving record.
Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed).
Employment subject to clearances, including background finger printing checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing.
