The Refuge - A Healing Place, a leading residential treatment facility for adults that specializes in SUD, Trauma, PTSD and Mental Health offering comprehensive treatment services to individuals who have been struggling with trauma, addiction, eating disorders and other mental and behavioral health Issues. The Refuge is seeking a full time primary therapist to join our team! This position will hold a primary caseload of at least 8 clients and conduct Trauma and Recovery Groups. Responsibilities
At The Refuge, a Healing Place, we specialize in unraveling the trauma story, understanding the addiction/Mental Health disorder and creating a recovery story! We are a residential treatment center specializing in trauma treatment, substance use disorders, eating disorders, PTSD, and other Mental Health disorders.
Primary Therapist Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychosocial assessment and develop an initial treatment plan
- Conduct individual, group, or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the clients.
- May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
- Provide case management, discharge planning or after-care planning according to treatment plan
- Facilitate therapy groups on weekly basis for clients
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers always. When client needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize the client safety is a top priority.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other releavant Human Services discipline required
- Two years of equivalent work experience preferred
- Current LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or Registered Intern in Florida preferred OR current Certification from the Florida Certification Board in a Substance Abuse related field - MCAP/CAP preferred.
Schedule to be discussed - evenings, weekends and holidays may be required.

Pay Range:
- Wages start at $27 and pay scale increases based on experience and licensure.
