Compensation:
- In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Salary Range:$64,480.00 - $72,500.00 (Bonus not included)
BBS Registered Therapist: $64,480
Bilingual, BBS Registered Therapist: $66,980
Licensed, Bilingual, BBS Registered Therapist: $72,500
Mental Health Therapist
Responsibilities
In this role as a Mental Health Therapist, you will assist by:
- Providing Mental Health services in a community-based Mental Health clinic and/or in-home for children, adolescents, and families in Shasta County.
- Ensuring professional services are rendered to and/or on behalf of clients and families in a manner that promotes their overall safety, recovery, health, and well-being, and adheres to the mission and vision of Lilliput and that all services are in accordance with all laws rules, and regulations governing professional practice.
- Serving as a role model for children, youth and families served by Lilliput. Maintain emotional stability and an ability to function effectively at all times with children, adolescents and/or adults who may have mental and/or behavioral health problems.
- Delivering and coordinating Mental Health Services to clients and families as defined by Lilliput’s Policy and Procedure, the Core Practice Model, and Shasta County Department of Mental Health.
- Delivering clinical interventions/services to and/or on behalf of the client as established by the treatment plan that are consistent with established standards of practice and standards of proficiency discussed and established in clinical and administrative supervision.
- Monitoring and documenting the client’s progress towards meeting the individualized objectives outlined in the treatment plan and completing the required documentation of case consultations, individual and family services to track progress and increased/decreased level of functioning.
- Promoting the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process by identifying quality indicators and opportunities for departmental and organizational process improvement.
- Attending and participating in regularly scheduled individual supervision, client-centered group supervision, and Mental Health and agency-wide staff meetings/trainings.
A successful Mental Health Therapist will work with many families concurrently, have a flexible schedule and collaborate closely with internal and external team members.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) OR registered in California as an Associate Social Worker (ASW) or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist required.
- Must meet eligibility requirements to bill for Medi-Cal services.
You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Two years of experience working high-risk children, adolescents, adults and/or families within the Mental Health, Educational, Child Welfare and/or Juvenile Probation systems preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience with Shasta County Department of Mental Health billing and documentation requirements preferred.
Additional $5000.00 bonus/stipend. Payable in two installments in the first and third months of employment.
