The Patriot Rehab Services-New Iberia program is an intensive residential treatment program designed specifically for veterans. Patriot Rehab Services-New Iberia is available to all branches of the US military, male and female, all ages, and is tailored to meet the unique Mental Health needs of veterans in the New Iberia and surrounding areas. By providing extensive medical and mental stabilization as well as long term treatment, we aim to provide returning military personnel the keys to unlock their future.
Patriot Rehab Services-New Iberia is currently seeking experience Mental Health Techs (MHTs) for Full-time and PRN day and night positions. Mental health experience and Military service are preferred.
Full-time and PRN positions (day and night; 12-hour shifts)
MHT Job Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with their recovery goals
- Conduct education groups
- Assisting residents in coordinating activity groups and specialty groups
- Assisting patients to perform routine activities of daily living
- Working closely with a team (Nurses and Therapists) to assure the resident program schedule is carried out as planned
- Interacting with residents in a therapeutic manner at all times
- Performing various duties assisting staff nurses in the psychiatric and physical treatment and care of residents in accordance with established methods and procedures of the program
MHT Job Requirements
- Louisiana Driver's License
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to visually assess resident's behavior and distinguish changes in emotions and conditions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently and with a team
