MENTAL HEALTH TECH - Full Time, Part-Time and PRN (Degreed or Non Degreed)
Full time and part-time rates start at $15.00 per hour and PRN rates start at $17.00 per hour + Shift differential rates per shift, 1st Shift, $2.00/hour, (weekends), 2nd Shift, $2.00/hour, (weekdays), $3:00/hour (weekends), 3rd Shift, $2.00/hour, (weekdays), $4.00/hour, (weekends). Education, and relevant experiences lend opportunity for higher pay.

Natchez Trace Youth Academy is seeking dynamic and talented Mental Health Tech to join our team of compassionate, dedicated individuals to help us continue our tradition of helping young men achieve the greatest chance of success possible. For the safety and security of residents, maintaining appropriate ratio of staff to patients is essential, and, therefore, full-time employees may be required to work overtime including working double shifts.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safety and well-being of the residents while supporting the therapeutic milieu.
- Participates in the development and implementation of residents behavioral programs by providing care and close supervision of facility residents and documenting behavior.
- Implementing treatment plans and providing crisis intervention as necessary.
- Observes the peer culture to see if any problems are present and recommends and implements solutions if necessary.
- Participates in residents group therapy.
- Attends staff development training to meet all facility and regulatory training requirements. Assures compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates thorough program knowledge via residents handbook test and daily activities in the milieu.
- Maintains professional, effective working relationship and good rapport with members of all departments, Mental Health Tech staff and students.

Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Higher level education in the fields of Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice and/or related experience preferred
- One (1) year experience in a residential treatment or children's services program preferred.
- Valid state driver's license.
