We are looking for a Counselor to work with children, staff and families in Cambria and Somerset Counties.

- Salary Range: $41,000-$47,800 per year
What are the duties?
- Program facilitation and management to include program delivery, community engagement, workshops/informational trainings, and delivery of evidence-based trauma support and depression reduction programs;
- Facilitating school district and community organization partnerships; and
- Data reporting on required outcomes.
What do you bring?
- Master’s Degree that includes suprevised clinical hours in Behavior Science, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or other related field.
- Knowledge of child development, understand of family dynamics, systems theory, and the importance of child-caregiver and family-caregiver relationships.
- Previous experience with children preferred, and this does not have to be in your field! Have you volunteered with children before? All of these are examples of some of the many ways our staff have experience with children.
- Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, CPR Certification, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week.
- Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
- Ability to travel between sites to observe children and meet with staff and families.
