- Understanding verification of benefits for Mental Health services
- Understanding obtaining/tracking referrals and authorizations
- Client payment processing, setting up payment plans if needed
- Understanding ERA/EOB’s for denials or inaccurate benefits
- Assist clients and clinicians with billing related questions
- De-escalation of clients billing issues
- Responding to client emails and voicemails
Job Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma
- 2 years of experience with Mental Health billing or equivalent work in a medical office that utilizes Mental Health codes
- 2 years of experience with customer service in medical billing and the medical industry
- Experience with Simple Practice EHR software
- Knowledge of PHI rules, HIPAA laws, CPT and ICD-10 codes
- Experience with insurance portals
