Job Description
The Men's Locker Room Assistant Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the Men's Locker Room to ensure the highest standards of satisfaction, cleanliness, and safety. Assists in directing, training, managing, and supervising the Locker Room staff in a positive and proactive leadership role.
Job Requirements:
- Ensures that all Club Members and Guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention to all of these needs; upholds the highest operational and Member service standards.
- Keeps the Men's Locker Room clean, stocked, and fresh at all times and restocks items, as needed.
- Cleans and repairs shoes for Members and Guests using brushes, sponges, cleaning fluids, policies and waxes.
- Monitors Locker Room to ensure that all rules and regulations are followed and the area is safe.
- Assists with issuing lockers and keys to Member and Guests and maintains a list of occupied or vacant lockers to provide to Accounting for billing purposes.
- Ensures that all Employees consistently comply with the Club's employee handbook, policies, and procedures.
- Takes a leadership role in coaching, mentoring, and training staff on their duties and responsibilities, and safety.
- CPR/AED Certified, preferred.
Education and Competencies:
- Previous experience or skill in shoe cleaning and repair.
- Previous Locker Room experience is preferred in a Country Club or hospitality environment.
- Well organized, dependable individual who is able to work independently or in a team environment in order to accomplish all goals and tasks.
- Strong leadership skills including planning, setting priorities, decision making, facilitating, training, and able to develop employee's skills and encourages employee growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all employees, Members and their guests.
- Must have a flexible schedule including a variety of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently lift, carries, or otherwise moves positions and objects weight up to 50 pounds.
