JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Application Engineer, you are responsible for managing and developing filter and membrane product applications. You will provide technical support to our customers and sales team.
The Application Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction both during and after the sales process.
This is a customer-facing role, and travel is required up to 25%.
Your responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Membrane & Process Development sales team to provide technical insights during pre-sales activities, such as proposal development and customer meetings.
- Generate technical documentation for sales support and for technical marketing (Blog Articles, White Papers, etc.), application notes, and FAQs to assist customers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, projects, contacts in CRM (NetSuite)
- Represent us at occasional industry meetings, symposiums, and trade shows.
- Provide sales support via phone, Zoom, MS Teams, etc.: may be required to work with customers to define product needs and suggest alternatives.
- Provide input to product development teams based on customer feedback and market insights.
- Sales Collaboration & Support
- Research products and keep abreast of current technologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical Support:
- Maintain an expert level of product and application knowledge in membrane filtration.
- Provide application-specific membrane system design recommendations to customers.
- Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the Company mission, values, and financial objectives.
Qualifications / Required Skills / Key Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree or above; Chemical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, MSE, Chemistry etc.)
- Filter and Membrane technologies experience required
- 5+ years of experience working (sales or engineering focused) with advanced manufactured technologies.
- Sales or Technical Sales Support experience a plus.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for problem-solving and delivering exceptional service.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Excellent communication skills, explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong computer and MS Suite skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
