Position Summary:
Delivers excellent customer service to all members by assisting them with their membership inquiries when the Director is not available and maintains membership records. Responds to member needs, assists with various membership promotions, and maintains and reconciles membership records.
Essential Functions:
- Provides impeccable service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
2. Assist the Director in processing Open Door Applications.
3. Enter membership and program information.
4. Mail letters for all Open-Door Renewals coming due with 60-day notice.
5. Applies all policies dealing with membership sales and terminations.
6. Reviews and recommends new and updated procedures.
7. Ensures all materials related to membership are updated and available.
8. Maintains a thorough knowledge of Y programs and events.
9. Aids with implementation of membership strategies that promote recruitment of new members and renewals for lapsed members.
10. Maintains membership files and generates monthly membership reports.
11. Monitors and maintains permanent lockers monthly.
12. Completes welcome and exit interviews and gives informational assistance to members and guests.
13. Create labels for file folders (Membership Agreements, and other Membership related items)
14. Print Annual Membership invoices for members paying annually.
15. Handles and resolves member concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
16. Instructs and guides other Welcome Center staff with training and procedures.
17. Assists Director with staff scheduling and training.
18. Go out into the Community with the Directors to work on driving Membership and Programs.

Qualifications:
1. Within 60 days of hire, completion of Y leadership certification, CPR, and First Aid training.
2. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
4. Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.
5. Strong knowledge of computers.
Physical Demands:
Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of position.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
