Job description

Position: Member Services Representative, Part-time (Hourly)

This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading non-profit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Member Services Representative at the North Central Florida YMCA intentionally fosters a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing, and determined while managing a high-quality membership focus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet and engage with members in a positive and professional manner.
  • Conduct yourself and answer phones in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensures security at the Association by enforcing policy regarding visitors and maintaining a visitor's log.
  • Assist the Membership Coordinator and perform miscellaneous tasks as directed or required.
  • Enter membership and program registration data into the CRM Operating System (Daxko).
  • Process all Daxko transactions accurately and perform daily close-out and drawer count.
  • Suggest procedures or standards to improve efficiency and productivity at the Member Service Desk.
  • Ensures standards for meeting retention goals are followed.
  • Provide feedback and offer solutions regarding gaps in service and/or member concerns.
  • Work continually towards self-development.
  • Respond to member and guest inquiries and problem-solve via phone or in person.
  • Meet all current training requirements for Membership staff.
  • Comply with membership policies, engaging with members and program participants and providing quality service in person and over the phone.
  • Be punctual for scheduled shifts and find coverage when you are unable to work those regularly scheduled hours.
  • Help collect stories and assist with Impact Campaigns and Membership Drives.
  • All other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • One year of YMCA experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge and data entry skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent follow-through actions regarding communication.
  • Desire and ability to work with people of all ages.
  • Demonstrated responsibility and dependability. Must exhibit patience, sensitivity, and understanding.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on the phone, computer keyboard, and other equipment.

  • The employee must be able to perform light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Weekends as needed
