MEMBERSHIP SALES DIRECTOR, THE FLANEUR SOCIETY

 

OVERVIEW

 

The Fifth Avenue Hotel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Membership Sales Director to spearhead the pre-opening sales strategy, cultivate the founding member community, and develop the long-term sales process for The Flaneur Society, a soon-to-open private membership club. A re-imagining of salon culture, The Flaneur Society will feature a year-round calendar of elevated cultural experiences, exclusive access & benefits throughout the world of The Fifth, and a discerning membership community comprised of global creatives, thinkers, tastemakers, and innovators. The Membership Sales Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the identity of our club, curating an exclusive and engaged community of members who embody our ethos, and establishing The Flaneur Society as the premier private membership club in New York City. THIS IS A SALARIED POSITION PLUS INCENTIVES.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive pre-opening sales strategy to drive membership acquisition and achieve sales targets
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, influencers, and key stakeholders to generate leads and referrals
  • Lead all aspects of the sales process, from initial contact to membership enrollment, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience for prospective members
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop compelling sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials to effectively communicate our unique value proposition
  • Collaborate with the cultural programming team to plan and execute exclusive events, previews, and member gatherings to showcase the club's amenities, ambiance, and community culture
  • Build and nurture a network of strategic partnerships with luxury brands, corporate entities, and local influencers to enhance the club's visibility and attract prospective members
  • Develop and maintain a robust CRM system to track leads, manage member communications, and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Forecast sales revenue on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Devise systems and processes that support the long-term development and membership growth of the club

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury sales, Membership Sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and building high-value client relationships
  • Deep understanding of the luxury market landscape, trends, and consumer behavior, particularly within the NYC market
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on building long-term relationships
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and value propositions in a compelling and persuasive manner
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset, able to develop and execute effective sales strategies that align with business objectives
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for hospitality, luxury service, cultural experiences, and creating memorable moments
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible and open to a varied work schedule, including nights and weekends
