By providing corporate and philanthropy leaders with the experiences, expert insights, connections, strategic advice, and best practices they need, we accelerate their progress and help shape the fields of Sustainability, ESG, Philanthropy, DEIB and Social Impact.
We are seeking an experienced client services professional to manage a portfolio of Institutional Members and support their efforts to make the world a more sustainable and just place.
The Opportunity:
Directors of Institutional Membership lead the relationships with and support our Institutional Members, serving as thought partners to help them advance their work and ensure their NationSwell experience is meaningful, empowering, and nourishing.
In this role, you will work directly with senior leaders from the world’s most influential organizations. Our Institutional Members include senior leaders from Fortune 500 companies, foundations, and financial firms like Verizon, Bank of America, and the Annie E Casey Foundation.
Additionally, you will help the team shape the future of NationSwell’s Institutional Membership, drive thought leadership and insights to advance our members’ work and help make NationSwell’s offering a must-have in the sector.
The salary for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 + commission.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Deliver an exceptional Institutional Member experience across a portfolio of accounts. Build trust and rapport with senior-level clients through regular touchpoints and communications. Uncover and distill each member’s unique needs and leverage internal and external resources to support them in accomplishing their strategic impact goals.
- Drive membership renewals, champion additional NationSwell offerings that would support impact growth for your members, and partner with the Growth team to identify opportunities for referrals
- Work with various internal stakeholders to continually improve our member offerings, regularly iterate on materials and experiences in response to partner needs, and proactively make recommendations for how the member experience and model can improve.
- Help maintain up-to-date CRM records that can be leveraged by various internal stakeholders.
- Act as ambassador at conferences and events and in support of member activities.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and act as a conduit for shifting partner priorities or needs.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in relationship management, account management, or managing memberships
- Deep familiarity with at least one of the following; corporate impact, sustainability, financial institutions, philanthropy and foundations, or large nonprofit organizations
- Understanding of how large organizations work and an ability to quickly speak the language of different organizations across sectors
- Ability to manage executive-level relationships and grow business
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to detail, with the utmost respect for relationship capital
- Ability to solve problems efficiently and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a start-up mentality
- Excellent at oral and written communications, and presentations
- A deep commitment to institutional impact and driving critical change in the United States and beyond
- Occasional domestic travel required
