Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Member Relations Director is responsible for creating communications, promoting exclusive services, and driving private club referral programs. By working closely with sales staff and General Manager, the Membership Relations Director is always looking for opportunities to create positive experiences for members while driving retention efforts at our private clubs.
Responsibilities
- Work with department heads to identify, complete and implement annual club calendar of member events to meet member/guest needs and drive member usage and retention
- Work closely with General Manager to develop and implement Quarterly Retention Plan focused on developing member retention and growth through targeted programming and events focused on members' demographics
- Oversee member communications, such as email blasts, newsletters; update website and social media platforms; maintain promotional collateral, member media boards, display other member communication tools
- Partner with Membership Director on new member orientations, new member mixers, and other new member connect events designed to acclimate and connect new members within the first year
- Function as the club representative on various member committees
- Work with club food & beverage department to create, maintain function sheets and event files for each member event, tradition, and other promotions to include but not limited to entertainment contracts, budgets, and event floor plans
- Assist with resignation calls and related activities to drive retention efforts of outgoing members
- Implement and supports all AGC initiatives and programs as requested by management
- Promote the course location to the local community by attending events and meetings
- Maintain communication with peers by attending weekly department head and sales meetings

- May be required to attend scheduled sales and retention conference calls
- Other duties may be assigned by management
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of related experience in sales preferably in golf/hospitality/service industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working with websites and social media
- Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and CRM
- Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills; ability to work independently
- Excellent customer service orientation and focus on customer satisfaction required
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality preferred
- Knowledge of golf desirable
- Strong leadership and people skills, plus the ability to build, foster, and support a team environment desired
Education
- 4-year college degree preferred

- Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required.
