The main objective of the Member Services Supervisor is to provide support and leadership to the Member Services team. The supervisor will work closely alongside the director to ensure the department is offering exceptional service to the membership through effective communication with all departments. The supervisor is detail oriented, naturally hospitable and committed to excellent service.
This position will be Seasonal Full Time from May 2024 - September 2024. Preferred candidates will have a flexible schedule, able to work weekends and holidays, and understand that time off requests will not be honored during the high-volume months of July and August.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist and oversee the daily operation of Member Services department.
- Work closely with Director of Member Services to uphold service standards.
- Think outside of the box to anticipate Members needs and desires.
- Carry out any special projects deemed necessary by Director.
- Oversee staff performance and coach and council staff as needed.
- Assist with reservations, itineraries, travel, entertainment tickets, and other general requests.
- Oversee maintenance of member facing areas, and an organized workspace while assisting members and guests.
- Assist with arrivals and departures as needed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with other departments.
- Assist Residential Services team with needs related to the hotel rooms.
- Answer incoming Club phones and transfer where needed.
- Maintain and update member app.
- Assist with club communication to membership.
- Promote club events to membership and help execute any events upon request.
- Update member profiles frequently.
- Must be able to work extended hours and holidays.
- Must be able to perform other duties as assigned by Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least two years of hospitality experience, customer service and telephone experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Must have an outgoing & well-spoken personality be able to clearly interact verbally with members and guests.
- Must be responsible, dependable, outgoing, and friendly, as well as patient and courteous with members/guests and other co-workers.
- Must be able to take direction and complete tasks without the need for managerial follow-up.
- Applicant must be efficient, detail-oriented.
- Applicant must have strong communications skills.
- Applicant must be self-motivated without supervision and able to think on their feet.
- Must learn member names and use them in greeting members.
- Must have professional appearance and grooming.
- Must follow dress code/uniform policies.
- Operate a computer, fax, copier, and other office equipment.
- Experience with Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Email, and a willingness to learn new computer programs that the Club utilizes.
- May be required to lift objects weighing more than 25 pounds.
- Must be able to sit or be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Must be prepared to go above and beyond normal expectations on a daily basis as pertaining to the membership and their requests.
Rate of Pay: $26 - $28 Hourly DOE
