ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Member Services Associate is responsible for setting the tone and energy of the club, as well as greet and direct members and guest through excellent customer service as they enter and depart the gym. The primary responsibilities include new sales, servicing existing members, responding to inquiries in addition to proactively maintaining a clean environment for our members. The Member Services Associate will generate new leads, new membership sales, renew memberships of existing members. In this role will also partner with management team to deliver club advertisement, campaigns, promotions, club activities, programs and services. Exceptional customer service and effective communication are extremely important in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide the highest level of professional customer service, greets members, prospective members, guest and team
- Personalize members experience during check-in and departure by identifying member on a First Name basis
- Check-in members and guests
- Assist with member inquiries and /or re-directs, elevate inquiries as appropriate
- Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner
- Enforce club policies and procedures with courtesy and tact
- Build authentic relationships with all members
- Collaborate with team to deliver a variety of Powerhouse health, fitness and wellness programs and promotions through an innovative approach
- Knowledgeable about facility and its amenities in order to effectively communicate and conduct facility tour
- Process new memberships, membership renewals, update member accounts and intake of payments
- Promote and assists members in Pro Shop and Rehab Bar sales
- Oversee the floor and ensures facility cleanliness and safety; Follow-up on maintenance/safety concerns
- Report any incident or accident to management
- Open/Close facility
- Other duties as needed may apply
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS Four-year degree in International Business and/or Business Administration.
- Reliable, professional, energetic and friendly individual with outstanding work ethic
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills with ability to motivate others
- Ability to work effectively independently, and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, cash processing procedures
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel
- Detail-oriented, Organizational skills required
- Experience in Sales, Customer Service, Front Desk or Fitness Industry preferred
- Interest in health, fitness, sports and/or motivating, helping others
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification preferred
