Position Overview: The Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Part-Time Member Services Associate to join our team. As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment for club members and their families. You will contribute to the implementation of programs, services, and activities that promote the academic, social, and emotional development of youth in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet club members, families, and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, creating a positive first impression. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests from club members, parents, and guardians in a timely and professional manner.
- Register new members and maintain accurate membership records in the club's database system.
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate and execute club events, programs, and special activities.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and clean environment; reporting any safety hazards or issues to the appropriate personnel, ordering and stocking first aid supplies and distributing member's prescribed medications as necessary.
- Support the implementation of club policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all members and staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on club activities, events, and member progress.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Foster a positive and inclusive club culture that encourages respect, teamwork, and personal growth among members.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children and youth in a club, camp, school, or similar setting is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to diverse groups of people.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using basic computer software (Google Suite) and willingness to learn new software systems.
- Experience using CRM or Member Tracking software a plus.
- Passion for working with young people and contributing to their positive development.
- Flexibility in working a part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A commitment to the mission and values of the Boys and Girls Club organization.
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
