Med/Surg BestChoice RN-Central Float Pool- 36 Hours/week, Nights

Full-Time Benefit Eligible

Shift: Nights (36 Hours/week)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The RN- Central Float Pool is regularly scheduled to rotate between 3 hospitals, with commitment to work every other weekend; one summer holiday; one winter holiday; two hard-to-fill dates; and two Mondays and three Fridays per 6-week schedule. Work shifts may be redeployed up to one hour prior to shift start due to changing staffing needs. The exception to the requirement to work at 3 hospitals applies to staff selecting to work at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. The RN provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
