As a member of Accenture's healthcare team, you'll be part of a team of health advisory professionals who deliver more than just technology. From rapid deployments to entire transformations, you'll deliver leading edge Medicare strategy and operations capabilities to our clients.
As a Medicare Technical Architect, your primary responsibilities may include:
  • Develop and execute the technical strategy for Medicare programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall IT strategy and Medicare guidelines.
  • Create and maintain the Technical Architecture that supports Medicare services, including data systems, Medicare-specific applications, integration, architecture and infrastructure
  • Develop the Medicare delivery organization conceptual architecture showing the major architectural focus areas required to deliver

  • Conduct working sessions with clients to gather, understand, and analyze technical / architectural requirements, including annual requirements, as required by CMS regulations
  • Support the implementation of Medicare technologies
  • Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices to ensure that technical solutions adhere to compliance standards
  • Demonstrate design options through the use of prototyping
  • Understand and apply Medicare technology/architectural best practices

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and third-party providers to ensure that products and services align with Medicare program goals

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here's what you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science, MIS, analytics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years with extensive experience in IT architecture, with a focus on healthcare or Medicare systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare technology with a focus on Medicare Advantage Plans

Bonus points if:
  • Proficiency in multiple Medicare capabilities, i.e., Product Configuration, Claims processing, etc.
  • Experience working with or leading global teams.
  • Thrive in a diverse, fast paced environment.

  • An advanced degree in the area of specialization
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage technology/architectural regulations
  • Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Proven experience in technology design and optimization
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.
