KVC West Virginia is one of leading companies within the child care system, specializing in areas such as foster care and case management as well as other areas. We are currently looking to hire a Medically Necessary/Foster Care Supervisor. This supervisor will be responsible for our Case Managers within the several counties. Those areas will include Marion, Jackson, Clarksburg, Parkersburg and our Eastern Panhandle Martinsburg office. This is hybrid job position where you will be working with staff and clients with in the areas.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work or related field. Licensure/Certification: Actively working toward licensure and being supervised via the West Virginia Board of Examiners of Psychologists, Social Work, or other licensable board/degree.

Experience: Minimum two years experience in children and family services, with preferable knowledge and demonstrated experience of the WV Medicaid Program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned according to the qualification of staff and development of programs.

• Continues to build a child welfare system that is safe, secure, and stable; family centered, connected to the community; and which relies on evidence based practice necessary to support contract services.

• Provide administrative supervision (and clinical supervision as needed and able) for assigned staff on a regular basis for best practice services and staff performance.

• Keep abreast of current and new regulatory policies and procedures, such as changes that may occur within Medicaid regulations, Socially Necessary Services, Child Placing Regulations, TJC and Behavioral Health Regulations. Ensure that staff is in compliance with above mentioned regulations.

• The supervisor will act as a member of a treatment team and give feedback on client progress.

• The supervisor will provide treatment as directed by the treatment plan as necessary.

• The supervisor will travel (possibly to multiple counties in a service area) and be able to work in homes of families that are served.

• The supervisor will assist in assessment and the formation of the child’s initial and master treatment plan.

• Attend clinical and administrative supervision by clinical supervisor on staff (or to outside provider as necessary). Provide feedback to his/her supervisor and perform tasks as required by licensure board.

• Possess the needed clinical skills to read and critically review documentation (including service tickets, psychosocial assessments and treatment plans) via Chart Online for other clinical staff. Return any records to direct service providers for revision and provide clinical guidance for continued errors. Sign off on clinical staff documentation as required by agency and APS policy.

• Schedule to staff cases as needed according to risk and other case difficulties.

• Check weekly on staff productivity and give feedback to staff. Ensure that staff documentation is completed on time. Give feedback to staff as needed.

• Submits all paperwork in a timely fashion to his/her supervisor for further review. Completes all required paperwork and follows agency policies and procedures within timelines, to ensure smooth paperwork flow.

• Communicate with Regional Director to discuss any issues that arise with direct service provider in regards to 2 documentation or other concerns.

• Possess the ability to perform psychological testing as required by agency and APS policy. Possess excellent clinical writing skills and the ability to effectively convey recommendations for treatment. • The supervisor will be knowledgeable in the areas of child development, parenting skills, and trauma.

• The supervisor will have knowledge of and utilize Evidence Based Practices (EBPs) when providing assessment and treatment to children and families. The Psychologist will document use of these EBPs.

• The supervisor will have knowledge of Medically and Socially Necessary service techniques and proper documentation of these services.

• The supervisor will work with all community members involved in the child’s life including the birth mother or birth extended family.

• Responsible for meeting performance expectations including contract requirements, timelines, regulations and laws.

• Provides direct services per program, state, and contract guidelines.

• Ensures services are in compliance with all regulatory standards and contract terms and conditions.

• Attends and participates in all scheduled meetings, court hearings, consultations, and staff meetings, as required.

• Acquires and develops resources to meet identified needs of clients and staff.

• Provides positive feedback to clients and staff.

• Provides culturally relevant and sensitive services to clients.

• Provides back up support to contract services as requested.

• Observes children for signs of abuse and/or neglect.

• Maintains working relationships and communications with DHHR and other community partners.

• Understands contract requirements and work to improve contract specific outcomes. • Attend meetings, seminars, and other educational functions as identified by the supervisor or agency director.

• Complete Essential Learning annual courses according to agency schedule.

• Participate in a minimum of one of the semimonthly agency Peer Review sessions.

• Obtain 40 CEUs per year, including 20 by June 30. Obtain CEUs as required by licensure and maintain all licensure requirements.

• Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance
