Job Duration: 3+ Months (High Possibility of Extension)

Pay Range: $31.00 to $31.87/Hr. on W2

Shift:Mon to Fri (12:00 PM - 04:00 PM) (Part Time)

Job Description

Transcribes recorded pathology material accurately and expeditiously, by order received or urgency, of a highly confidential nature for pathologists.

Transcribes other medical material (i.e. consultation request letters, policy and procedures)

Verifies accuracy of patient information such as name, hospital number, location in hospital and patient file location.

Proofs and checks work for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate format.

Prints documents and dispatches finished reports to designated persons for approval and signature.

Front office clerical staff performing report distribution, including mailing to outside individuals and agencies, and answering telephone calls.

Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.

Participates in educational programs and in service meetings.

Additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements: Medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

Requirements: 1 year pathology transcription

Preferred Requirements: experience with EPIC, Dragon, Microsoft office

Salary: $28.52 - $31.87 per hour
