Growing group orthopedic practice is looking for an energetic, flexible Telephone Receptionist to handle our phone calls. The right person needs to be highly organized and able to work in a fast paced environment. Great verbal and written communication skills are essential. Additionally, this person must be comfortable using a computer. Training will be provided as necessary.
Specific tasks may include but are not limited to
- Answer calls ringing at your phone extension promptly.
- Triage each call to appropriate department or staff member.
- Make appointments according to guidelines regarding provider, office, time
- Confirm insurance participation as needed with the billing department
- Take detailed messages intended for providers and send it to them for their review. Be sure they include all information necessary.
- Who—why--what--spellings of names---correct contact phone numbers
- Retrieve messages from answering service from prior night/weekend and triage these appropriately.
- Detail oriented with an ability to accept and respond to changes
