Job Title: Med-Surg Ortho RN

Shift: Full-time, Days (Rotating Weekends)

Salary: $73,320/year

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and vital signs.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with the commitment to obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into the RN position.
• Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities.
• Exceptions or extensions may be approved by the facility Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and reported to the CNO Council members. Exemptions will be tracked by each facility. (RNs with 10 or more years of experience are exempt.)
• Preferred Education: master’s in nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply.
• Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in specialty.
• Minimum of one year of hospital nursing experience.
