Medical Surgical Nurse Needed In Illinois

Minimum 1+ years nursing experience required.

Now hiring in the Peoria, Illinois area for a Medical Surgical Nurse to join our travel team. This is a 13-week contract assignment working 40-hours per week at one of our partner facilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:

   • Provide holistic nursing care to patients in medical-surgical units, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
   • Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

2. Medication Administration:

   • Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to medication protocols.
   • Monitor and manage potential side effects, adverse reactions, and interactions.

3. Wound Care:

   • Perform wound care and dressing changes, promoting optimal healing and preventing infections.
   • Collaborate with wound care specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Stg organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare enviment.
