• Ability to communicate effectively in person or by telephone with the public, other departments and members of the medical staff.
• Computer knowledge with typing accuracy at 35 wpm
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

• Previous experience verifying and sequencing Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance
• Knowledge of HIPAA and the importance of confidentiality
• One-year medical office experience
