Medical Scribe / Medical Office Staff Member

We are a highly recognized OB-GYN practice located in the Evansville area, seeking a motivated Medical Scribe whose duties will include but are not limited to the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Report to practice manager

Transcribe patient appointments

Verify insurance benefits & obtain precertification when required

Coordinate days/times to appropriately schedule surgery/delivery patients

Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician

Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls

Maintain all logs and required checks

All other duties as assigned by practice manager

KNOWLEDGE

Healthcare field and medical specialty

Medical terminology

Grammar, spelling, and punctuation

EPIC experience (preferred)

SKILLS

Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette

Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow

EDUCATION

High school diploma

Compensation: Highly competitive, depending on experience.

This is a 36 hrs/week position Monday-Wednesday & Friday with hours between 7:30 am-5:00 pm
