Position Summary: This is a great opportunity to work in a respected practice as a Medical Scribe. Successful candidate must maintain a professional image in the clinic and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service.
Essential Job Functions:
- Accompanies physician into clinic visit and creates clinic note.
- Maintains patient records and other information as requested by the physician.
- Records the office visits via electronic templates on behalf of physician.
- Provides courteous and friendly service to all patients and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Assist with ordering labs and medications.
- Hours may vary weekly, generally a 4 to 6 hour shift between 8 to 5, but may start at 7:00 am.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must type at least 60 wpm with accuracy.
- Previous scribe or transcription experience preferred.
- Must be proficient with computers.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- A working knowledge of electronic medical records preferred.
- Reliable transportation is a MUST!
- Willing/able to travel to all GI locations (Provo, Spanish Fork, American Fork)
