Job Description Summary
The Medical Records/Health Information Management Data Quality Analyst (DQA) is responsible for maintaining the integrity of patient information by accurate and timely indexing/scanning documents into the electronic health records and performs quality checks to ensure documents are being scanned accurately. The ideal candidate will bring Scanning and Release of Information experience. AHIMA credentials RHIA/RHIT preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe). Strong attention to detail and quality, exceptional organizations and time management skills are essential to the success of this role.This is a part-time position. 20 hours bi-weekly. Mondays & Fridays 9:00am - 2:00pm
Job Description
The HIM Data Quality Analyst (DQA) is responsible for maintaining the integrity of patient information by accurate and timely indexing/scanning documents into the electronic health records and performs quality checks to ensure documents are being scanned accurately.
The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for processing requests for information and maintaining confidentiality by adhering to state/federal laws and health system policies. Exceptional customer services skills are essential for this position for assisting internal and external customers. Performs a variety of duties for the Health Information Management Department to ensure records are complete and all appropriate documentation is present.
College Degree, High School or GED,
AHIMA credentials RHIA/RHIT preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe) preferred
Effective verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to work independently, as well as, in a team setting with internal and external constituents
Strong attention to detail and quality, exceptional organizations and time management skills are essential to the success of this role
