SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Medical Provider Assistant (MPA) is a key role in our clinic. The MPA is responsible for ensuring a positive experience for patients by providing exceptional care, including tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting blood and lab samples, and following standard procedures. The MPA is the "face" of the clinic and plays a crucial role in maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities: Performs phlebotomy on all patientsAdministers intramuscular injections and subcutaneous injections.Educates patients on how to self-administer injectionsConstitutes medications and prepares them for patient pick upTriages patientsEnters all patient metrics into exam formsScans and maintains patient paperworkTracks inventory of suppliesMemorizes all phone scriptsAnswers all incoming callsSchedules and/or reschedules appointmentsMakes outbound calls to all patients requesting a consultation, seeking to reschedule, or wanting to book an appointmentConfirms appointments via phone call, email, and/or text messageGreets, checks in, and checks out all patientsRings up retail purchasesUnderstands and utilizes Options software systemsMaintains a general understanding of all Options programsCompletes patient InBody scansManages patient flow to minimize wait timeCloses and reconciles the point-of-sale systemEnsures organization and cleanliness of waiting area, front desk, restroom, and all other clinic common areasPerforms other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization Competencies: High energy and enthusiasm for helping peopleExcellent Phone SkillsIntermediate computer skillsExperience with EMR and phone systemsAbility to multi-task, adapt and change focus frequently, and work in a fast-paced environmentMust be adept at performing phlebotomy without supervisionUnderstands and complies with all HIPAA and OSHA standards Required Education/Experience : Required Education and Experience - High School Diploma requiredMedical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification requiredOne year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service roleOne year of medical assisting or phlebotomy experience required We Offer: Medical (Employer supplemented), Dental, VisionParental PTOEmployer paid short-term disabilityPaid Time Off (PTO).Continuing Education ReimbursementOngoing Teambuilding Events and ExperiencesContinuing to enhance and enrich and formalize our employee recognition and rewards programGenerous discount on Options Medical Services and Products (40%)Promotion and Career Growth Opportunities $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly
