Lone Star Gastroenterology, a prominent and respected gastroenterology practice, is seeking a Medical Office Schedulerto join a well-established and growing practice. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient medical center with clinical and surgical arms.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patients for office visits and procedures
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events for healthcare professionals
- Maintain and update calendars, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Provide excellent phone etiquette and customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Oversee the management of phone systems, ensuring proper functionality and troubleshooting any issues
- Maintain organized filing systems for patient records and other important documents
Skills:
- Proven experience in Medical Office management or a similar administrative role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Bilingual is Preferred
