Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as necessary
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Handle patient questions and give direction as appropriate
- Balance drawer and account for payments taken from patients for copays & on balances due.
- Provide administrative support to various departments as needed
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Experience in medical records recieving and transfers of records with various entities and/or patients.
Requirements:
- Proficiency relevant software applications
- Experience with phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail/accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proven experience in administrative or office management roles is a plus
- Strong knowledge of governmental and commercial medical & prescription insurances
- Awareness and/or experience of the prior authorization process

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
