Responsibilities
- Accurately conduct and evaluate test analysis in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Investigate any unusual and/ or inconsistent test request and results, equipment functioning and environmental issues upon occurrence.
- Collect and process specimens, conduct tests, reports, and record results.
- Prepare solutions, reagents, and stains in accordance with laboratory formulas and procedures.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in medical Technology or related field or laboratory training with certification requirements
- One year laboratory experienced preferred
- Blood bank experience required
- Registration as a medical Laboratory technician (MLT) by The Registry Board of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) preferred
- Or certification by HEW preferred
