Form of workDescription: PRN position available working one shift per week that could include holiday and weekend rotation. The Medical Lab Scientist performs patient specimen analysis for diagnostic purposes. Verifies all results into computer system. Brings panic value test results to the attention of the licensed healthcare worker responsible for the patient as required by policy. Cleans, disinfects and maintains various equipment and work areas. Maintains inventories. Processes specimens in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, coag, micro and molecular/PCR platforms.
Qualifications:
- HS graduate or equivalent.
- Associates Degree in Science.
- Experience in Phlebotomy.
- Certification/Licensure as a Medical Technician must be as a generalist which includes: Chemistry, Molecular, Serology, Hematology, Coag, Blood Bank and Micro.
