Translation and Interpretation Network in Fort Worth TX is currently seeking healthcare and Medical Interpretersfor Hospitals and Clinics through out the DFW.
Medical Interpreters will be responsible for the following :
-Provide Interpretation and translation services for medical staff and patients in a healthcare setting.
- Interpret conversations between healthcare providers and patients accurately and impartially.
- Translate medical documents, such as medical records, consent forms, and discharge instructions.
- Assist with social work tasks, such as connecting patients with community resources or child protective services.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
•Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a medical interpreter
•Proficiency in English and TARGET LANGAUAGE
•Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and protocol
•Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking skills Proficiency in medical terminology in both languages.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of cultural nuances and sensitivity when working with diverse populations.
•must pass a Language Proficiency and medical terminology assessment
•ability to provide accurate, timely interpretation services between healthcare providers and patients within the onsite medical clinic and pharmacy, with a focus on understanding and respect
•must maintain strict patient confidentiality and uphold all ethical guidelines and standards of medical interpretation
•ability to simplify medical jargon into language that is easily understandable for the children
•Capability to show sensitivity to cultural differences and provide culturally competent services
•Assist with coordinating care and scheduling appointments as needed
•Collaborate closely with a dedicated, multidisciplinary medical team

Adhere to the National Council on Interpreting in Healthcare (NCIHC) Interpreters Code of Ethics and Interpreter Standards of Practice, Cultural and Linguistic Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards.
•Certification in Medical Interpreting from an accredited institution (** HIGH PREFERRED)
REQUIREMENTS:
- must pass drug test
- must pass criminal background check
- valid ID/DL is required
- Interpreters must take an internal training session and orientation (4 hours) prior to starting
- Dallas area - must be local to DFW
- must have reliable transportation to get to and from appointments
- Vaccines/Immunization Records (BELOW IS A CHECK OFF LIST OF THE ITEMS YOU NEED TO SUBMIT)

Schedule -hours vary - and are by appointment only
Compensation- Interpreters are paid once a MONTH on the 18th of every month
