You found us! Holland Eye Clinic is a small privately owned optometry office in Basehor, KS. We are professional with a personal vibe and don't take ourselves too seriously. We thrive on making our clinic a rewarding experience for both the patients and coworkers. While this office is new (inside and out!) we have provided patient care in a small town environment for over 20 years in private practice. Our goal is to provide good old-fashioned personal service with today's technology and care.

This position is the smiling face of our private optometry practice. The front office coordinator will greet and guide the patients and coordinate with the doctors to provide exceptional patient care throughout the process.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors at the Front Desk
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the office calendar
- Working with demographic software, electronic medical records and scanner
- Coordinate projects and assist with administrative tasks
- Perform order entry and maintain inventory of office supplies
- Insurance verification and assists with billing and invoicing
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address their inquiries or concerns

Experience preferred:

• - Ability to explain patient's insurance benefits to them;) Accurately and concisely
• - Accurate with basic math skills
• - Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
• - Knowledge of medical office procedures is a plus
• - Comfortable learning/using office software, patient demographics, billing and ordering
• - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

This position offers an opportunity to work with a small team, in a happy office environment, providing administrative support and interacting with patients. Experience in medical or dental reception/ office insurance coordination or managing role is preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational abilities, along with a great sense of humor that goes along with a positive working environment.

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
