We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess strong administrative skills. As a Patient Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details
- Assist with patient registration and intake forms
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Manage medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Process payments and provide receipts to patients
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record system Athena
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Familiarity with medical scheduling and billing processes is a plus
