Medical Drivers work in our Wheelchair Division performing non-emergency wheelchair transportation. This is a great entry-level position for those looking to start their careers in healthcare while training to become EMTs.

Essential Job Duties include:

• Providing safe wheelchair transportation to doctor’s offices, hospital discharges, dialysis center appointments, hospice, etc.
• Working closely with a variety of patients and care providers
• Provide excellent customer services to all clients including hospital systems and long-term care providers
• Understand company policies and procedures and adhere to client confidentiality and rights
• Maintain a professional image and attitude and all times

Requirements include:

• Minimum of 21 years in age
• Valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license (if licensed out of state, must obtain in state driver’s license within 30 days) and at least 2 years of driving experience within the United States
• Applicants must meet Medix Ambulance’s motor vehicle record, National/Federal and criminal background check, drug & alcohol screening, and physical requirement standards. Medix Ambulance is a drug free work place.
