As a Medical Collections specialist, you must demonstrate strong, professional communication and interpersonal skills with clients, the public, managers, and co-workers.
Job Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for creating and submitting claims, processing claims and payments, processing and sending statements, and much more.
Other responsibilities of the role include:
- Accurately utilize the billing system.
- Develop and submit sppeals, including supporting documentation as needed.
- Contact insurance companies and collect any outstanding account balances.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient care and business.
Other requirements of the role include:
2+ years of experience with medical collections.
- High school diploma or GED.
