Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign diagnostic and procedural codes to patient encounters.
- Review medical records to extract pertinent information for coding purposes.
- Conduct meticulous documentation reviews to ensure the accuracy and completeness of coding.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing staff to address coding-related issues and discrepancies.
- Fulfill additional coding-related tasks as delegated.
Qualifications you bring!
- Preferably possess Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification.
- Prior experience in medical coding, particularly within a healthcare environment, is advantageous.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
- Proficient in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and coding software.
