Job Summary:
- Obtains MEDICAL CLINIC billing forms from staff, reviews for accuracy and ensures billing matches client record.
- Enters claim information into appropriate systems.
- Performs routine audits, provides feedback and reports to supervisor and medical staff.
- Assists with verification patient insurance benefits, effectively calculating deductibles, co-payments, and co-insurances. Disperses this information via e-mail to the appropriate parties as necessary.
- Interacts regularly with insurers, ensuring the correct insurance provider and information is timely and noted in the client’s computer record.
- Verifies documentation on after hours admissions and follows up on day admissions. Obtains any missing documentation. Follows up on any documentation left incomplete from the client’s initial admission.
- Maintains necessary financial information and inputs the appropriate information into the system. Enters critical client insurer information daily, including company names, addresses, inpatient and outpatient coverage, and special information.
- Follows up on unpaid claims to ensure accuracy of information provided with initial verification.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
