Cannabis Post Harvest Specialist
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
A Trimmer is responsible for preparing cannabis flower from its harvested form to finished form for retail sale.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Breakdown flowers off the stem and stalk of the plant to separate waste from viable product.
- Trim dry cannabis to the company's standards efficiently while maintaining the highest in quality.
- Work well independently as well as with others.
- Adaptability to different types of strains and types of cannabis as they are trimming; the ability to adjust techniques to maintain a steady pace and consistent quality.
- Time management; must be able to manage their time in order to meet required trim goals.
- Responsible for keeping a clean and orderly work area.
- Must communicate effectively
- Ability to be flexible and work in different areas of the company as needed or requested by management. This might include but is not limited to: helping cultivation with harvests, cleaning, moving supplies, assisting the packaging department or working elsewhere as needed.
- Identify issues with any strain that is being trimmed and communicate effectively with management.
Pay by hour and by weight is dependent on experience and demonstrated performance during the probationary period
Requirements:
In order to apply for the Trimmer position, you must be over the age of 21 and be able to pass a Maine OCP background check and have a RIC card.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- The ability to sit and or stand for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity, grasping, pinching, speaking and listening.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs unaided and 100 lbs with assistance
- Prior trimming experience preferred but not required
Training :
- On the job training will be provided as needed to supplement existing experience
- There is a 30 day probationary period where you will work with your manager to help you achieve the required 1lb of finished product.
Evaluations :
- Performance evaluations will be done on an annual basis, except new hires. New hires will be evaluated after 90 days, and then annually.
Skills:
- Experience working in the cannabis industry a plus but not required
- Knowledge and experience working in trimming environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Ability to work on your feet for an 8 hour shift

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
