We are seeking a house manager at one of our homes in the Bath area, providing and overseeing services for our clients in their group home. This position reports to the Residential Director who oversees all homes. A manager ensures the health and safety of each resident, supervises staff while working along side them with the clients, encourages strong teamwork, determines work schedules, fosters family contact, ensures house cleanliness, coordinates medical needs, and coordinates outside activities of residents. Our staff provides consistent and constructive instruction and positive role modeling in areas such as personal hygiene, laundry, grocery shopping & cooking, money usage and budgeting, plus more. Flexibility to assist consumers in their physical therapeutic activities often involves exercising such as swimming, walking or hiking, basketball, etc.Our staff safely transports consumers to various events, activities, and appointments. A manager also participates with consumers in events such as pot luck dinners, Special Olympics, plus encourages consumers to develop other interests in the community and supports them while doing so. Daily documentation requires accurate, complete progress notes. Ensures that all consumer records and required DHHS (Maine Department of Health and Human Services) documentation are produced by the staff in a timely and complete manner. Flexible schedule required. Responsible to take initiative to locate/provide emergency coverage when the need arises. Candidates will need to drive an agency owned vehicle or their personal vehicle at times. A clean driving record is required.
