Primary Goal: The designer will help present medical information in a clear, organized, and aesthetically pleasing manner, ensuring the material is not only informative and accurate but also compelling for the audience. A large part of this position involves creating original medical infographics, selecting appropriate images, and ensuring a cohesive design that aligns with the clinic's branding. Knowledge and/or experience in human anatomy and medicine with the ability to convey complex medical topics into understandable formats is the essence of this position.

Position Summary: This full time position will work directly with the Medical Director and Media team. The candidate must have design experience in the health care field, a general knowledge of human anatomy and systems, and be able to operate and thrive in a fast-moving, evolving environment, and enjoy working within teams and with simultaneous challenges.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Book design layout for a 2000 page medical textbook that is already in the works. This is the largest project that currently requires the most time.

Create medical figures from rough notes/sketches, and medical discussions with physician and team for book, research papers, webinars, and the like.

Required knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Undergraduate degree in graphic design, visual communications or similar.

At least 5 years of experience in graphic and creative design.

Minimum of 4 years experience creating a high-level design. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and materials.

Expert in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (or comparable).

Experience with content management systems.

Detail oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

Positive attitude, team player, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn and be creative in all aspects.

Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at a swift pace.

Willingness to problem-solve and make decisions.

Proficiency of print and production processes

Passion for the medical industry and basic knowledge of the industry.

3D animation experience a plus with strong desire to learn 3D medical anatomy.

Mastery of industry-standard design software, specifically the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Proficiency with the Google suite of products, Dropbox, and SharePoint

Familiarity with web-based content management systems such as WordPress

Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, composition and design principles as well as print production processes

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas and concepts clearly in a collaborative manner.

Ability to use strong time management and problem-solving skills to multitask, meet deadlines and overcome challenges independently.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, receiving, and providing constructive feedback.

Job Type:

Full time with benefits per Caring Medical Policies

Work hours: Must be available to work Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00PM

May work remotely for most of the position, but some in-office work may be needed.
