We're looking to hire a Medical Billing Clerk to join our team in efforts serve our wonderful guests and provide business office support.
The best candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about providing care to others and impacting the communities we serve. Must be able to work independently and remotely from the Business Office Manager. The job includes front desk/ office work primarily, some inventory management and light cleaning, and maintaining hospitality. While office experience is required, hearing health training is provided on-site.
The majority of the job includes responsibilities as a Billing Clerk: reviewing, verifying, and submitting accurate billing data to insurance companies. They will also follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain patient financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical / audiology billing procedures, knowledge of coding systems such as ICD-10 and ICD-9, and proficiency in using billing software. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy are essential for this role.
Hours for the position are as follows : Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

DUTIES:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and invoices
- Request prior authorization for hearing aids
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Resolve billing discrepancies and issues
- Maintain confidential health and financial records
- Update billing software with relevant information
- Assist with collections and payment posting
- Greet and check-in our guests/patients on the open day(s)
- Assist with billing questions and concerns
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Billing Clerk or similar role
- Knowledge of Medical Billing procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
- Experience with medical collection practices
- Proficient in using billing software and electronic medical record systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to learn and demonstrate basic hearing aid cleaning skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.26 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
