Full Job Description

Medical Billing Specialist, or Patient Account Representative with a minimum of 1 year experience.

The Medical Billing Specialists are responsible for working commercial, governmental and/or third-party medical claims in a timely and efficient manner. We offer remote work opportunities, and have an office location in Massachusetts.

Some of the specialties we are looking for include Multi-Specialty Physician, Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Podiatry, Speech, Occupation and Physical Therapies. Multiple Surgical Specialties including Plastic and Cosmetic Procedures

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Review and work denials daily.

· Update practice management system with follow-up notes

· Appeal third party denials when appropriate.

· Communicate with peers to obtain necessary information

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree or work experience

· Knowledge of Word and Excel

· Self-motivated and able to work independently

· Customer service skills

· Practice Management / Electronic Health Record experience. Allscripts experience is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
