We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medicare Advantage & Commercial Insurance Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services provided in our skilled nursing and long term care facilities. Your expertise in medical coding, billing systems, and medical records will be essential in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and maximizing revenue.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare and process skilled nursing claims for Medicare Advantage and commercial insurance for reimbursement
· Identify insurance plans per benefits and assign in billing system
· Claim payment follow-up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving any billing discrepancies, reconsiderations and appeals
· Review and ensure all documentation is saved to support billing
· Collaborate with our facilities to resolve any coding or billing discrepancies for reimbursement purposes
Preferred Skills:
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing process
· Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
· Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10 and medical terminology and billing processes
· Proficient in insurance verification process and identifying the plans associated
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
