Medical Biller/Receptionist

Maryland Cardiac Care, LLC is a new and growing cardiology group located in Rockville, MD. We are looking for a full-time Medical Biller/Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate must be willing to work both as a biller and as a receptionist.

Billing Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate codes using ICD-9 and other coding systems
- Verify insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Communicate with medical office staff, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries and issues
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding and billing regulations

Front Desk Responsibilities:

- Checking in and checking out patients as well as scheduling appointments
- Recording and uploading insurance information as well as take payments
- Answer patient telephone calls
- Perform other administrative tasks such as chart preparation, preauthorization requests, confirming appointments, and other duties as needed.

Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Knowledge of medical office operations, including scheduling, insurance verification, and collections
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
