Medical Biller

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately billing home medical equipment and supplies, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining patient records. This is a vital role in this busy HME office, as you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes.

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information
- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit when necessary
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including billing information
- Collaborate with staff to resolve billing issues or discrepancies
- Stay updated on changes in HME billing regulations and requirements

Experience:

-Experience as a Medical Biller is preferred
- Knowledge of medical billing processes
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
